About me

Cari is a Board-Certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She obtained her nursing degree in 1994 and began her career in an acute care setting. She has been living in the central Arkansas region for 20 years, practicing primarily as a critical care nurse. She retired from bedside nursing to pursue her master's degree full time. She personally experienced working as an ICU nurse during the Covid-19 pandemic. Given her deep understanding of workplace stress and uncertainty, she is extremely equipped to provide care to those who are  dealing with mental health concerns. She is passionate about mental health and reducing its ongoing stigma. She garners a trustworthy alliance with her clients, attributed to her authenticity, kindness, compassion, and empathy. She is comfortable working with clients of all ages. She utilizes a personalized approach to diagnosis and treatment, acknowledging that everyone's story holds value. She empowers change for those experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, addiction, and various other mood disorders.

 

Areas of focus include medication management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, addictions.
